About Dewy

Ik ben Dewy, een Nederlandse illustratrice & designer uit Zwolle. Mijn specialisatie ligt bij het maken van Kawaii designs. "Kawaii" means "cute or sweet" in Japanese. My fascination with Asian culture, which developed over the last 10 years, is often refelcted in my work. I work full-time for my design studio DewyCreations from 2019.

My illustrations are often multi-purpose and can be used for many many occassons. I love to explore the boundaries between illustration and other areas. That's why most of the projects I work on are often a cross-over between illustration and product design. I designed a print for a whirligig in Playground Amstelpark, different character deisgns & illustrations for a childern's book.

Currently I'm very busy with the development of the brand Van Orange, in collaboration with EC4U. The brand will feature 4 cute characters, Milan (the natur loving chicken), Yasmin (the fashionable bunny), Yaya (the sweet panda) and Dexter (the streetstyle dog). At the end of 2021 our first tableware collection will be launched on the Chinese market, and a stationery line will follow soon.
